Our Accessibility Plan
Intent
Grimshaw Trucking LP (the “Company”) is dedicated to ensuring a barrier-free environment for all stakeholders, including customers, employees, job applicants, suppliers, and any visitors who enter the premises, access information provided by the Company, or utilize the Company’s services.
The Company will strive to identify and eliminate barriers and prevent new barriers for individuals with disabilities concerning employment, communication, the built environment, and transportation at the Company. This document outlines the Company’s strategy and Accessibility Plan for addressing these barriers.
The Company operates within a network of wholly owned companies and limited partnerships that are subsidiaries of Mullen Group Ltd. (“Mullen Group”). Mullen Group’s Corporate Office provides the Company with specific services and assists with the ongoing development and implementation of the Accessibility Plan.
Definitions
Barrier: Anything physical, architectural, technological, or attitudinal, anything that is based on information or communications, or anything that is the result of a policy or a practice that hinders the full and equal participation in society of a person with an impairment, including a physical, mental, intellectual, cognitive, learning, communication, or sensory impairment, or a functional limitation.
Disability: Any impairment, including a physical, mental, intellectual, cognitive, learning, communication, and sensory impairment, or functional limitation that is either permanent, temporary, or episodic in nature. It can be evident or not in interaction with a barrier to hinder a person’s full and equal participation in society.
Accessibility Plan: The Accessibility Plan includes a summary of the policies, programs, practices, and services regarding the identification and elimination of barriers and the prevention of new barriers. The plan was prepared and published by June 1, 2023, and will be updated every three years or sooner if necessary.
The Accessibility Plan was developed in consultation with individuals with disabilities and specifies how they were consulted. This process is followed for the creation of and any modifications to the plan. The Company complies with all regulatory requirements in the development and ongoing maintenance of the Accessibility Plan.

The company has prepared our progress report to meet our organization's obligations under the Accessible Canada Act (ACA) and the Accessible Canada Regulations (ACR).
This progress report provides updates on the progress our organization has made in implementing its accessibility plan.

Feedback
The company has developed an Accessibility Consultation Questionnaire to completed voluntarily. Any concerns or issues raised through this process will be addressed promptly and appropriately. Additionally, the company is engaging with local Disability Organizations to arrange consultations throughout the organization.
To date, no questionnaires have been submitted; however, we have internally identified areas that require attention to ensure the safety and accessibility of our employees. We are currently requesting quotes to address these concerns.
We have encountered challenges in finding contractors to respond to our requests for a quote. We are looking at different avenues to address these issues.
In 2024 the Company introduced a new on-line training provider for our safety and policy programs with courses accessible on multiple devices, allowing access from any location. If a barrier exists for the on-line training the Company will address it immediately.
Consultations
No consultations with persons with disabilities have taken place to date.
This approach underscores the organization’s dedication to cultivating an inclusive environment and its acknowledgment of the value inherent in collaboration with individuals and entities advocating for accessibility and inclusivity.
Employment
The Company aims to enhance workplace accessibility and ensure an inclusive recruitment process for applicants with disabilities. By reviewing its practices, the Company identifies and removes barriers through inclusive employment procedures. Accommodations are provided during recruitment, selection, and throughout employment.
We have made the following progress in removing communication barriers for job applicants:
Streamlined access to any vacancies with the Company, posting available job descriptions directly on the Company website and providing a Company application form for easy accessibility and completion.
Onboarding paperwork is available online. This allows applicants to complete the hiring paperwork from any platform or location eliminating the need for them to come into the office. For the visually impaired the website supports a screen reader option. Language translation is also available through built in browser translation options.
The review of corporate policies that pertain to accommodations for employees and candidates with disabilities and plans to remove any barriers that are discovered is ongoing.
Training of those responsible for hiring on the barriers that may exist in the hiring, selection and accommodation process.
Human Resources focuses on continual education and attends any relevant seminars pertaining to accessibility and accommodation. In turn, HR is an integral part of the recruiting process assisting management with hiring decisions.
The Built Environment
The Company is committed to making its publicly accessible facilities free of physical barriers to promote inclusivity. Existing barriers in the Company's offices and facilities will be addressed.
With support from Corporate Office, the Company will evaluate its offices and facilities to assess the need for further accessibility features.
Evaluation of the Companies' facilities is ongoing. Annual Safety Audits identify and address areas of concerns regarding accessibility.
The Company will review and update, as necessary, its emergency and disaster response plans to account for employees, and visitors with disabilities.
Emergency and disaster response plans are reviewed during weekly safety meetings and quarterly drills to ensure the safety of all employees and visitors. Any areas that require attention are addressed.
Evaluate facilities to verify that smoke, fire and other emergency alarms have visual and auditory signals and assess if improvements are required.
Emergency alarms have been identified as an area that requires attention for the hearing impaired. Requests for quotes to install flashing lights along with the alarm system have been tendered. In addition, the Company is looking into applications for hearing-impaired persons that connect to the fire alarm system.
Review Company workspaces, and customer facing facility areas to identify any physical barriers, by the end of 2025 and plan improvements.
The Company has requested quotes for a ramp as well as a chair lift at the front entrance of the head office. Ongoing assessments are being done at other facilities to identify and remove any physical barriers that may exist.
Any upgrades or renovations to facilities will include and prioritize accessibility.
Information and Communication Technologies (ICT)
The Company is committed to utilizing software to enhance accessibility to technology for all employees.
Add accessibility as an evaluation metric when acquiring or developing new software or technology, with support from Corporate Office.
As the Company introduces new technology, accessibility is taken under consideration, however, there are certain limitations with the software program that is used, as it is designed by a third party.
Review website content for any minor barriers with regards to text contrast, size, navigation and formatting.
The Company website's Lighthouse score for accessibility is 92/100, some areas of improvement have been identified in touch target size and some alt attributes on elements.
* To provide enhanced accessibility for onboarding employees the Company developed an online hiring process allowing applicants to complete the required paperwork from any location on any platform. This provides flexibility and less stress for all applicants. The format is also compatible with a screen reader if required.
Communication other than information and communication technologies
The Company recognizes that both content and medium are crucial for accessible communication with customers, employees, job applicants, suppliers, and visitors. Communication barriers can be present in online information, in-person interactions, meetings, and presentations. The Company aims to improve accessibility in its communications.
Provide training on accessibility and barriers for employees who work on communications, including information on potential different communication styles.
The Company has introduced a new online training platform that provides employees with enhanced courses not only focused on the transportation of goods but also on mental health awareness, communication and leadership skills. These courses can be completed on any platform and at any location.
Review orientation processes and resources for new employees for improvements to accessibility, with the support of Corporate Office.
The Company's new onboarding procedure provides a comprehensive introduction to the company and its resources in an environment that is adaptable.
Procurement of Goods, Services and Facilities
The Company continues to review procurement practices and improve, where reasonable and applicable the accessibility of goods and services and the use, purchase or upgrades of facilities.
The Design and Delivery of Programs and Services
The Company's primary clientele comprises other businesses; therefore, assessing the design and delivery of programs and services to the public is not pertinent. The Company focuses on evaluating the design and delivery of programs and services in relation to its employees and business clients.
The company is continually assessing and formulating different options for programs and services as they become available.
Transportation
The Company provides transportation, logistics, and specialized industrial services, but not passenger transport. As such, it does not consider public or passenger service barriers. Instead, the Company focuses on evaluating and reducing potential barriers for employees and candidates, such as physical obstacles like ramps, curbs, and equipment design. The Company will work to reasonably reduce barriers for employees with disabilities according to applicable health, safety, and other relevant legislation.
The Company continues to evaluate vehicle and equipment accommodations to ensure they comply with occupational health and safety standards, as well as other legal and contractual obligations, for safe implementation.
Progress Reports
The Company prepares, publishes, and submits an annual progress report to the Accessibility Commissioner concerning the implementation of the Accessibility Plan for each year that the plan does not require an update. This report adheres to a structure like the Accessibility Plan and includes feedback and contact information, details on the consultations conducted during the plan’s development, and any constructive feedback received in good faith regarding the Accessibility Plan. The report outlines how consultations and feedback were incorporated into the process. Progress reports are available upon request and can be provided in all accessible formats in which the Accessibility Plan is available.
Document Retention
The Company keeps detailed records of the creation, implementation, and updating of the Accessibility Plan and progress reports. The Accessibility Plan and feedback process are retained https://www.grimshaw-trucking.com/accessibility for seven years from the publication date. Any feedback provided to the company is retained for seven years from the date it is received. Where necessary, names and personal information of individuals and employees who participated in the feedback process are redacted to ensure confidentiality and privacy. The Company will not retain contact information for any anonymously provided feedback.
Conclusion
The Company will continue to monitor and measure our progress to ensure that we are meeting the remaining accessibility goals and removing barriers that were identified in the accessibility plan. Feedback is encouraged to assist the Company with fully implementing the accessibility plan. All feedback will be reviewed and if a response is required it will be addressed accordingly.
A follow-up progress report will be published to meet our obligations under the Accessible Canada Act (ACA) and the Accessible Canada Regulations (ACR), followed by a new accessibility plan as required.
